COVID-19 virtual town hall — 11/9/21
The UC Riverside Center for Health Disparities Research, in collaboration with the California Indian Nations College and Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc., hosted a joint COVID-19 Town-Hall. This event covered the latest COVID-19 information and addressed audience questions.
SEED PAPER 101 WITH SHEILA MCMULLIN — 10/20/21
This workshop, a collaboration between RSBCIHI and HDR@UCR, taught attendees how to create their own eco-friendly, plantable stationery. This event allowed us to further engage with the community and have conversations surrounding health, holistic wellness, and wellbeing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

This collaborative town hall about COVID-19 featured experts from San Diego and Riverside Counties: Dr. Daniel J. Calac, MD (Indian Health Council, Inc.), Dr. Christian Ramers, MD, MPH (Family Health Centers of San Diego), Dr. David D. Lo, MD, Ph.D. (UC Riverside), Alec Calac, MD/Ph.D.(c) (UCSD School of Medicine/SDSU School of Public Health), and Dr. Juliet McMullin, Ph.D. (UC Riverside). This effort was supported by STOP COVID-19 CA, the COVID-19 California Alliance.
Indigenous Community Town Hall: Addressing the COVID-19 Vaccine — 4/1/21
In this town hall, Dr. David Lo from HDR@UCR and Dr. Ramon Ferra from Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health shared with the Native community updates surrounding COVID-19 vaccines. Dr. Lo broke down the vaccine and showcased how the vaccine works from a science standpoint; Dr. Ferra spoke about RSBCIHI and where they were at in the timeline.
